Captain Named Warren Interim Chief

Captain Robert Massucci is the interim chief of police in Warren, after Eric Merkel turned in his resignation last week.

A theft in office complaint lodged by one police officer alleges Merkel claimed paid time at OVI checkpoints when he wasn’t there.

The complaint also alleges a racially-tinged text message.
