Local gasoline prices look to be headed into record territory soon, though much of the bigger increases are confined to four Midwest states including Ohio.
The AAA average in the metro area was $4.75 Friday morning, up 94-cents just this week.
GasBuddy has pointed to refinery issues as the reason for the regional increases.
Michigan, Illinois and Indiana are also seeing the largest price oncreases.
The AAA national average price Friday morning was $4.39.
