The National Weather Service forecast for Trumbull and Mahoning Counties for Friday calls for mostly sunny skies with the chance for an afternoon shower or thunderstorm, with a high in the upper 90s.
The Extreme Heat Warning finally goes away at 8 p.m. Friday night.
The weather service says Friday’s Heat Index will reach 104.
Thursday’s Regional Airport high was 95.
Both First Friday and Ignite the Night events in Youngstown have been postponed due to the predicted weather.
