Federal Agencies Investigating Deadly Middlefield Plane Crash

A plane that took off from the Regional Airport Saturday afternoon crashed a short time later near Middlefield, killing all three Ashtabula County men aboard.

The single-engine plane was approaching the Geauga County Airport when it crashed.

The State Highway Patrol, the FAA and NTSB are investigating.

Two of the men were from Geneva, one was from Rome.
