Peak of Car vs. Deer Season

It’s that time of year when the State Highway Patrol warns us about deer rutting season:.

It’s darker out, the deer are running, and a vehicle collision can be quite damaging and even deadly.

Since 2021, there have been 114,000 car/deer crashes in Ohio.

Troopers remind us that deer are most active at dawn and dusk.

And most such accidents are between October and December, with most of the crashes in November.
