At a recent Harding home football game, a memorial to a late school band director was dedicated.
Appropriately the Robert E Fleming Memorial is below the band shell.
It was a cooperative effort led by the Warren G Harding Band Historical Association.
Fleming brought the band to prominence between 1958 and 1968, with the band making the first high-school NFL halftime TV appearance in the early 60s.
