Quarterback James Jones threw for three touchdowns and Makhai Brogdon rain in for two more scores, but it wasn’t enough as the Harding Raiders fell to Massillon Jackson Friday night 44 to 37.
Jones connected twice with Matt Richardson, but the Polar Bears kept answering in the second half, even as the Raiders moved the ball well on offense.
Jones also threw a TD pass to Asa Coleman.
A failed onside kick late in the fourth quarter sealed the win for Jackson.
The Raiders are now 2-2.
Harding’s next opponent is Ursuline, Friday night at Mollenkopf Stadium.
