After experiencing high levels of air pollution from Canadian wildfire smoke, the Air Quality Index in the Mahoning Valley has dropped back to more normal levels.
The AQI topped 500 on Thursday.
Anything over 300 is considered “hazardous” and people are encouraged to stay indoors.
As the index continues to drop and there’s rain in the forecast, there’s still an Air Quality Advisory until midnight Saturday night for Trumbull and Mahoning Counties.
