As if storm-related weather wasn’t enough, we just wrapped up a four-day heat wave starting Tuesday that had the high at the Regional Airport reach 95 on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
The area hasn’t seen a string of days like that since 1988.
The high was 93 on Tuesday and 89 on Saturday, the 4th.
The National Weather Service forecast this week has highs in the 80s with plenty of rain and thunderstorm chances.
