A 60-year-old Niles man was not injured when his plane went down in northern Summit County on Sunday afternoon.
The state patrol says the pilot reported a mechanical problem, and the plane crashed in a field behind some homes in Richfield Township.
The pilot was not injured.
He was the only person on board.
He hit a fence on the way down.
Meantime, a Salisbury Maryland man was killed in a plane crash Friday afternoon near Ironton at the southern end of Ohio.
