There’s a Warren connection to the United Airlines Flight 93 crash on September 11 of 2001.
The Flight 93 National Memorial says the plane was hijacked and turned around somewhere above the Warren area that fateful day.
The Flight 93 Memorial in Somerset County Pennsylvania is only two hours from the Mahoning Valley, just over 100 miles.
And with 100 million Americans not born yet 25 years ago, Memorial Superintendent Stephen Clark says it can be a learning experience.
It’s recommended you allot two to three hours time to take in everything the memorial offers.
If you’re using your GPS to go to the memorial, they recommend entering this address:
6424 Lincoln Highway, Stoystown, PA 15563.
