About an hour’s worth of heavy rain from a second round of storms early this morning, but the storm watch has been allowed to expire early… Storm warnings were up for a time; power outages are pretty limited; there were many more lighting strikes from yesterday’s storm according to My Lighting Tracker… Hail was a big feature of yesterday’s storm, with a one-inch report out of Boardman Township… No reports of significant damage in our area…
Putting the reins on some sports “side betting” in the state: the Ohio Casino Control Commission has obtained cease-and-desist orders to Kalshi, Robinhood and Crypto-dot-com for offering event contracts for sporting events… The state says these contracts are unlicensed and lack consumer protections.
Shock in Campbell after the city’s mayor suddenly passed away: 67-year-old Bryan Tedesco died in his sleep Tuesday night… He did not join his colleagues in Columbus this week, saying he was not feeling well… Council President George Levendis will fill out the remainder of Tedesco’s term this year.
