Ohio has its first measles case of 2025: an unvaccinated adult from Ashtabula County had contact with someone who recently traveled internationally… The Ohio Department of Health and county health department are following up on possible exposures… It comes as the ODH reported new information showing the vaccination rate among kindergarten kids in the state dropping to 85-point-4-percent.
Flu season may be winding down, but Ohio is still in the “very high” category… The good news: the number of flu cases is dropping… Director of the Ohio Department of Health Dr Bruce Vanderhoff says there’s one constant here: get a flu shot and take influenza seriously each year… Three Ohio children have died with the flu this season.
An insurmountable number of complaints against a Youngstown-based luxury home furnishings business has AG David Yost’s office taking action: he has filed suit in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court against Burke Decor, with stores located on Route 224 in Boardman Township and in Los Angeles; there’s also an outlet store in Youngstown… Yost in a release says Burke has satisfied some complaints, but 256 of them worth $380,000 remain outstanding
