One year ago today, a series of deadly tornadoes struck Ohio: as part of what would be a record year, eight tornadoes were reported, with an EF-3 twister killing three and injuring 24 in the Indian Lake area of Logan County, northwest of Columbus… Richland and Crawford County also saw tornadic damage that day… Next week is Severe Weather Awareness Week in Ohio with the annual Statewide Tornado Drill next Wednesday at 9:50 a.m… There were 74 tornadoes confirmed in the Buckeye State last year.
A small kitchen fire in Youngstown has taken a life: an unidentified man was found dead in his side of a duplex on Burlington Street a few blocks west of Belmont Avenue yesterday morning… No word on a fire cause.
