Governor Mike DeWine delivered his annual State of the State Speech on Wednesday, saying Ohio is strong… Though he says the state has created tens of thousands of jobs in just the last year, he says more needs to be done… DeWine says Lt Governor Jim Tressel will lead his Workforce Playbook, working to get more ex-offenders, those with disabilities and others into the workforce…There was also a lot about young people… Despite the “cell phones in schools” bill that took effect last year, he’d like cell phones banned in all Ohio schools… He also pushed his child care tax credit, though key legislators wonder if the numbers on that proposal add up… The governor also promoted his plan to use increased gambling revenues to help pay for stadiums.
