We’re into a cold snap that’s going to be around for a while: the National Weather Service says highs won’t reach freezing for the next week, and the extended outlook has below-normal temperatures through at least January 16th.
ODOT’s website indicates that the two rest areas along I-76 in eastern Portage County have reopened: each has modern restroom and vending facilities, and parking for at least 26 cars and ten tractor trailer rigs… The westbound rest area serves as the state’s welcome center from Pennsylvania, with the state deciding to eliminate the former I-80 Hubbard Township rest area.
