Trumbull County had until the end of the year to dole out the rest of their American Rescue Plan funding, so they did so at yesterday’s regular meeting…. Money went to various projects and to smaller townships… With changes coming to the board, it may have been the last of the chaotic meetings.
“Live” Christmas tree safety tips from the State Fire Marshal’s Office: keep all open-flame items like candles and cigarettes away from the tree, and make sure the basin of the tree has water in it at all times… And Fire Prevention Bureau Chief Anita Metheny says when you see brown needles, get the tree out of the house… Also, flammable tree “decorations” are a real issue: they’re responsible for starting over 800 house fires nationwide each season.
