You won’t realize it right away if you use E-Z Pass, but toll rates on the Ohio Turnpike are going up on January 1… The toll for passenger cars will increase to 7.1 cents per mile… That’s up from the current 6.5-cents per mile…. Chuck Cyrill with the turnpike says it’s part of a five-year Schedule of Tolls approved by the turnpike commission last year to meet operating, debt service and capital improvement costs.
The downtown Warren United Church of Christ will become the new home for the Oakland Center for the Performing Arts later next year: the Tribune Chronicle says the church is being sold to the Youngstown-based group for a dollar; the church is suspending operations due to shrinking membership.
